Do you TAKe INsurance?
Yes, we are in network with Blue cross and Blue Shield (BCBS), Medicare, Aetna, and Tricare. LivWell is out of network with other insurances but as a courtesy we will verify your insurance to determine your out of network benefits to help you understand your options. We have self pay rates available which include per visit rates and different packages.
Do I need A Referral?
In the state of Alabama, we currently have direct access for an initial physical therapy evaluation. If physical therapy is medically necessary, then we can treat for 30 days or 11 visits prior to needing a referral. In some cases, a referral is needed for insurance benefits. A referral is not needed for Wellness services.
What should I wear?
You should wear comfortable clothing and supportive shoes to be able to move well for exercise and stretches. Wearing clothing that allows for access to the area being treated is beneficial.
What is the difference between physical therapy and wellness?
Physical therapy focuses on rehabilitation and recovery from an injury, surgery or pain. It is a skilled healthcare service provided by a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients restore mobility, strength and function. Physical therapy is often prescribed by a physician and used to address specific medical conditions. Wellness, on the other hand, focuses on prevention, optimization, and fitness. It is for individuals who want to improve performance, movement and overall well-being.
How much does it cost without insurance?
Our self pay rates are dependent on the appointment type. For a physical therapy initial evaluation our rate is $170. Follow up physical therapy appointments depend on the session time. A 30 minute treatment is $65 and an hour appointment is $135.
